Wilson County · District 8

Building a Wilson County worth raising kids in.

I'm Jacob Berry, a Mount Juliet dad running for County Commissioner to bring greenways, green space, and great schools to every corner of our neighborhood.

Meet Jacob

A decade in Tennessee. All-in on Mount Juliet.

In his own words

I've lived in Tennessee for ten years, and I chose to raise my kids right here in Mount Juliet. A lot of what makes this a good place to start a family comes down to the things we share: Charlie Daniels Park, the Music City Star, and newer additions like the Mount Juliet Greenway on Division.

If you elect me as your District 8 Commissioner, I'll put real resources behind expanding projects like the Greenway into every corner of our community. I want every family to be able to bike to school, take a walk on the weekend, and get around without having to drive everywhere. That's the kind of place worth raising kids in.

It isn't all sunshine and bike rides, though. We're growing fast, and our infrastructure hasn't kept up. Our wastewater systems are strained. Above-ground power lines leave us in the dark every time a winter storm or tornado rolls through. And too many new developments have a single way in and out, which is both a safety risk and a daily headache for the families who live there.

These are problems we can solve. They just take a County Commission that actually works for you.

I'm running because I believe Wilson County's best days are still ahead, and I want to help build them.

Where I Stand

The issues that shape our neighborhood.

Real problems with practical fixes. Tap any issue to read where I stand.

01

Green Space & Public Spaces

Parks and public spaces do more than look nice. They raise property values, give families somewhere to gather, and shape what kind of town we are.

02

Expanded Greenways

Safe, connected paths to schools, parks, and shops, built for every neighborhood and not just the ones that already have them.

03

Funding Education & Teacher Pay

Keep our education dollars in Wilson County classrooms, and pay teachers enough to keep them here.

04

Modernizing Our Infrastructure

Wastewater, power lines, sidewalks, and roads that finally catch up to how fast we're growing.

05

Public Policy

The big partisan fights are decided in Nashville and Washington. What a county actually controls is how it spends its money and shows up for the people who live here. That's where I plan to make a difference.
